Friday, 6/9: Viewing 5-7pm and Vigil 7pm-8pm at Callaghan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave., Livermore

Saturday, 6/10: Mass from 11-12:30pm at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1315 Lomitas Avenue, Livermore

Saturday, 6/10: Reception from 1-3:30pm at the Granada High School Gym, 499 Wall Street, Livermore. We ask that you wear a Hawaiian shirt to the reception.

Saturday, 6/10: Evening celebration at La Botica Restaurant, 2085 First Street, Livermore at 4pm

We are deeply saddened by the loss of an incredible young man, Jonathan Nguyen. Jonny tragically passed on Saturday 5/27 as he was out hiking and swimming with friends in the Feather River.

We wish to truly remember and celebrate Jonathan’s life, to support his family and this memorial, as well as the expenses a tragedy like this brings on. We hope you all will donate what you can and spread the word to anyone who may be interested in helping the Nguyen family through this difficult period.

Jonny was a great friend to many and impacted everyone he met. Recently Jonny graduated from Chico State University; a campus and town where his presence was felt throughout. Prior to that Jonny attended Granada HS (Class of 2019), as well as Mendenhall Middle School and Smith Elementary. Johnny was a standout wrestler for Granada HS, winning two North Coast Section medals and he helped lead Granada to its first League Championship in over ten years.

Jonny’s family, his mother Genevieve, father Lai, younger sisters Lauren and Maile, and grandmother Bess would appreciate any and all support and love sent their way during this difficult time.
