Help Jonathan Petty Recover

Hi, my name is Debbie Dodd and I am fundraising for Jonathan Petty. Jonathan's mother has been a good friend of mine for over 25 years. My goal in setting up this gofundme page is to help Jonathan recover and give his sweet mama some peace of mind.

You probably read about this or saw it on the local news. On December 31, 2022, around 6:00 p.m. and in the middle of a storm, Jonathan Petty's pickup plunged off a cliff near Pine Flat lake, tumbled 450 feet and landed on the passenger side in the ground. A boulder covered the front windshield and the cab was crushed so he could not get out the back window. He worked for quite some time to get the driver-side window rolled down so he could exit the cab. Once he got out he realized his injuries were too severe to move around. After laying in the freezing rain for a while he managed to get back into the cab thinking he could start the pickup and get some heat. That failed so he climbed back out of the cab and decided to pray. And his prayers were answered. He was badly injured and fighting for his life. But by the grace of God, the following morning at about 7:30 a.m., his angels appeared. Several fishermen participating in the New Year's Day fishing tournament at Pine Flat lake could hear the voice of someone calling for help. They beached their bass boats and began the ascent up the mountainside. Once they located Jonathan, they rendered aid and despite the horrible cell phone coverage in that area, they managed to call for help.

Jonathan was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in downtown Fresno where he lay intubated for 11 days. He suffered head injuries, 8 broken ribs, a broken sternum, collapsed lungs, bruised heart...and the list goes on. Once he was extubated and stabilized, he was transferred to Kaiser and remains there still.

Jonathan's recovery and rehabilitation are going to take a long time and a lot of money. As we all know, health insurance is for catastrophic events at best. And the day-to-day expenses are on the patient.
