Joni Holladay-Jessee Help Fund

Hello!
My name is Marissa and I started this gofundme for my dear friends Ethan and Ginny while they are navigating a sensitive time.
On July 17th Ginny went into labor. Feeling a bit under the weather, Ginny tested positive for COVID while in the hospital during labor.
Joni Holladay-Jessee was born that evening. Ethan and Ginny got to meet her around 10pm before she was airlifted to Seattle for Meconium Aspiration Syndrome.
First taken to the NICU at the University of Washington, Joni was quickly transported to the Seattle Children's Hospital where she underwent treatment to aid in lung support. She made a slow but steady recovery until she was stable enough to transfer back to the UW, where she is currently.
"Because of the strenuous previous weeks Joni's lungs are not quite up to snuff. She has low capacity and is slowly working up the stamina to eat enough while regulating her breathing. As of today (8/6/22) she is taking 55% (up from 40 earlier this week!) of her recommended nutrition orally. We need her to get in the neighborhood of 75% before we start thinking about bringing her home.
Right now that means at least another week here at UW.
With that timeline we'll probably be splitting up so that I can be back with Landon and Pilot in Sequim while Ginny stays at the NICU with Joni.
Separating our little family right now is so hard.
There are some good support networks set up for us through UW and our insurance but it's a lot of logistics to wade through and we're a bit overwhelmed."
Joni's journey in Seattle has been optimistic but emotional for the entire family, including her older brother, Landon, and older furry brother, Pilot. While they are navigating the split between Sequim and Seattle, Ethan has had to put his business on hold, meaning their only source of income is now unavailable.
Any help, share, or kind words are much appreciated. We want to make funds as comfortable as possible so they can focus on Joni's health and recovery.
Thank you for reading and your support!
