Jon Latham Benefit Fund

Jon Latham is a fixture of the Nashville music community. A first-rate songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, he was several months away from releasing his second LP, Lifers, when throat pain sent him to the hospital in early May 2017. What was initially diagnosed as a bad case of tonsillitis turned about to be something far worse: an abscess tooth whose infection has spread throughout much of Jon's jaw and neck, rendering him barely able to swallow.
What followed were two intensive hospital stays, four days in the ICU, and multiple surgeries. A professional musician who also pulls long hours as a drugstore employee, Jon has been unable to work since his diagnosis. To complicate matters, his landlord recently announced his decision to sell the home where Jon has been living — and practicing music — for more than a year. Due to his hospitalization and subsequent recovery, Jon has been unable to secure another lease elsewhere, and most of his money has been directed toward a combination of medical bills and related living expenses.
Jon Latham is our friend, and Jon Latham needs our help. We are taking up a modest collection to help assist him in his recovery. Please consider donating to one of Nashville's most genuine, giving people.
