Jonna Goodwin

Jonna and I became friends about 10 years ago when we were both feeding a feral cat colony. She told me she was a waitress at Generals Kitchen in Ocean City, MD and was putting herself through nursing school. I was very impressed with her work ethic and her love for animals. Through hard work and tenacity, Jonna did become a nurse and works at Brandywine Assisted Living in Fenwick Island, DE. My mom who had Alzhimer's Disease was living at Brandywine and it was such a relief knowing that my friend Jonna would be caring for my mother and looking out for her. As a matter of fact Jonna was the last person to give my mom a kiss on the cheek the morning she died. 

Jonna has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer and is about to face the hardest challenge of her life. She recently had a total hysterectomy and will begin chemo and radiation treatments next week. Her sick leave and income from work runs out on October 31st
