Our house is one of the few still standing in Altadena but everything we own is scorched. Who knows what can be salvaged from it all? Our kid’s school is gone along with everything we’ve known. We have no idea when we can access our house again or if it will be habitable. It’s time that we accept this fact and humble ourselves to ask for help. As practical concerns come into focus, we are asking for donations to alleviate the short term and long term financial burden of displacement. We recognize our good fortune in contrast to others and we are determined to make the most of our creative minds and ability to work to uplift the community we love so much.
