Jordan Cofield Scholarship
Donation protected
I am Dr. Chere M. Goode the mother of Jordan Alexander Cofield. Jordan was my youngest son and departed this life suddenly on August 22, 2020 in a tragic motorcycle accident on I-795 in Owings Mills, MD at the ripe age of only 20 years old. He was a bright light in our lives and in the community. Jordan was a gifted and lively individual who touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He had a contagious smile that could win you over immediately. He had so much more to accomplish. His biggest goal was to make it to the NFL , which he was very close to accomplishing. He was already listed as an NFL Draft Diamond. Jordan was not only an astonishing 2 sport athlete(Morgan State Starting Wide Receiver and #1 HBCU Male for the 60 yard dash in track) but he was also an avid scholar on the Deans list at Morgan State University prior to his death. In honor of all the lives he touched and his love of inspiring and encouraging others, his family has started The Jordan Cofield Scholarship to keep his memory and his legacy alive. This will be an annual scholarship that will be awarded and evenly distributed between 6 student athletes(male &/or female) enrolled in a Maryland based HBCU, who also excels scholastically with a GPA of at least 3.0. The Jordan Cofield Scholarships will be awarded at a special ceremony(date tba) once we reach our goal. Jordans family will review all applications and choose the 6 recipients. Your donation will keep Jordans' legacy alive and aid a deserving, hard working student athlete in reaching their educational goals. Thank you in advance.
