Jordan Eifert's Headstone

Parents should never have to bury their children.  Our four year old neighbor Jordan gained her angel wings after a life long battle against spinal muscle atrophy (SMA) last month.  We are writing today to ask for support from all those who loved and were touched by Jordan. We want to help her parents cover the expenses of a headstone in Jordan's memory.

This campaign is not something Brieen or Jerry asked for assistance in, but as their friends and as much as we adored their precious daughter, we feel called to help.  This family has faced so many challenges that most never consider like medical bills and equipment that insurance didn’t cover, travel expenses from the frequent extended month long stays in hospitals, all of the missed work and the costs of a burial.  The last thing Jerry and Brie should worry about is how to honor their daughter’s final resting place. 

SMA is a brutal disease and children like Jordan face difficult physical and emotional hardships.  Jordan's parents, Brieen and Jerry, were her biggest cheerleaders and advocates.  Even in her death, they ensured Jordan’s bravery was not in vain and made decisions to ensure doctors could utilize her battle to help other children with SMA.  One of the doctors from John Hopkins said that Jordan’s contribution to SMA research will help tens of thousands of current and future SMA patients.  This is a special family and we hope that you all will help by making a contribution to honor our little buddy, Jordan.
