On Thursday, February 15, 2024, our family was deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved Jordan Fairfax. His unexpected loss has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues across the DMV area.
Jordan was a vibrant and magnetic soul who had a gift for making everyone around him smile. He was known for his athletic prowess, infectious laughter, and unwavering devotion to his Baltimore Ravens (much to his Cowboys-loving family’s chagrin). Somewhat of a fashion pioneer, Jordan carried himself effortlessly with a charismatic swagger.
Born and raised in Montgomery County, MD, Jordan spent his life deeply connected to his community. As a child, he was actively involved in local football and basketball leagues. This love for sports remained with him through high school where he played an integral role in winning the Maryland State Football Championships in 2013 and 2014 with Northwest High School. Jordan was a celebrated member of the Montgomery County community and will be sorely missed.
After graduating high school, Jordan completed two years at Potomac State University before returning home and building a successful career at UPS, ultimately becoming a supervisor.
He leaves behind his loving parents, two older brothers, and a large extended family and network of friends. We are all mourning his departure, cherishing the memories, and sharing anecdotes about the impact he had on our lives.
In the wake of this tragedy, our family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support. Many have reached out, expressing their desire to honor Jordan's memory. Jordan battled mental health difficulties while putting on a brave face for those around him. Recognizing the critical importance of mental health awareness and destigmatizing conversations around support, we are asking for contributions to help cover funeral expenses and a customized headstone that reflects both Jordan's vivaciousness and his inner struggles. Your contributions will be a lasting tribute to his memory and a testament to the lives he touched. Your donations will go to my father (Jordan's uncle), Edouard Benjamin, who will use them to pay for Jordan's memorial services and headstone.
