It breaks my heart every time I hear the "C" word, but I do know from my personal experience that it is only through the grace of God that I was given the strength to continue the journey with my son.  It is my passion to help others going through this journey called C a n c e r. Even though my son went to be with Jesus. I can honestly say “It is Well With my Soul”. One of several things he wrote on a scrap piece of paper was to help others when he got well. He did get well meeting his Heavenly Father, but my goal is to continue his earthly wishes.

In Christ, Lynn #teamhutch

-Jordan Grace’s Journey - We been so blessed by the incredible number of people who have reached out to us, prayed for us, and loved on Jordan Grace in the last few weeks. We have created this page so that all of our friends and family can follow along on Jordan Grace’s journey in her fight against cancer. For those of you who may not know the battle we are fighting, here is a recap of what the last few weeks have looked like for our family. Starting back in August, Jordan Grace began with sinus and ear infections that remained unresolved for months. When her pediatrician noted a polyp that was growing in the back of her throat, she referred Jordan Grace to an ENT physician who removed the polyp in an outpatient surgery. On December 6, 2019, Jordan Grace’s parents, Kevin and Allison Cobb, received a phone call with news that no parent ever wants to hear. The biopsy of the polyp had shown that it was malignant and she would need to see an oncologist as soon as possible. They met with Dr. Ring, an oncologist at Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta, on December 10, who told them that Jordan Grace had a form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Since that day, she has undergone multiple scans, blood tests, and another surgery to confirm this diagnosis and to determine how extensive her cancer is. At this time, we believe that her cancer has been contained to the source of the original polyp. However, she had surgery earlier this week to remove her lymph nodes and adenoids just to be sure. We should know the results of that pathology report next week. Jordan Grace will undergo one more procedure next Friday for a spinal tap to test her CSF fluid for cancer, and she may possibly have a bone marrow biopsy as well depending on the status of her lymph nodes. We claim in God’s name that these further tests will show no cancer and that we can move forward with treatment. While Rhabdomyosarcoma is not rare in children, it is a very strong cancer and requires extensive treatment. Jordan Grace will receive 42 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation followed by 18-22 weeks of maintenance chemotherapy. Dr Ring is confident that we have caught this cancer early and that she will not only be CURED but live a long, healthy life when this is all over. We speak that over her everyday!! We believe fully that our mighty God has covered Jordan Grace with His protection. We pray that He will use this sickness as a means of glorifying His Name and that He will heal our precious girl! And we ask that you please join us in praying for her as she begins a fight that no child should ever have to go through.
