Jordan is running with Papa in Heaven

On October 22, after 13 years of the hardest fight on this earth, Jordan David Hobbs gained wings of gold brighter than the world championship belt. His time on Earth was too short for our hearts to accept, but he was ready to meet Jesus and rejoin his Papa in Heaven. His body has been freed of his unbearable pain, his legs are strong and fast, and his mind is no longer overflowing with endless anxiety.

Even on his darkest days, Jordan gifted light to everyone and anyone around him. He displayed courage beyond words, strength beyond measure, and empathy far beyond his years. Jordan worried often about things most people simply overlook. His dog, his family, his friends, his teachers to name a few.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy tried endlessly to break Jordan, whether physically, mentally, or both. He lost many things we all take for granted, including much of his independence to DMD, but there was one thing that evil couldn't steal- his spirit. Jordan had a connection with God stronger than this world could understand. His peace was when he was listening to Kari Jobe or Lauren Daigle.

We never imagined losing Jordan so quickly, and our family is so financially unprepared. Our biggest wish is to celebrate his life and show him just

Everyone always says they wish they could take their loved one's pain away, and now that's exactly what has happened. Jordan is free, and we have finally gotten our wish. In time, we will learn to live again. Right now there is a hole left in our hearts and our home, and we are simply trying to stay afloat.
