Jordan MdC’s Leukemia Fight

From Matthew and Clarisse regarding their son, Jordan Martin del Campo:

On 03/28/23, our son was diagnosed with leukemia. I don't think any parent can prepare for their child to have a cancer diagnosis. The doctors have told us that there was nothing we could have done differently and that it just happened spontaneously. It's so heartbreaking to know that everything was okay, and then it's not. Fortunately, his diagnosis is very common in children, and because kids are resilient, doctors are very hopeful. Jordan has the best prognosis and the best care team behind him.

Jordan's treatment will be long, almost 32 months. It's hard to believe that he'll have chemo treatments for almost 3 years. He'll be 7 years old by the time he's finished, and most of his childhood will be spent in and out of hospitals/doctor offices.

Jordan has been responding well to the treatments thus far. He's still adjusting to this new routine. He's tired most days but will get little bursts of energy throughout the day. We thank our family, friends, and community as well, who have shown us nothing but love and support during this difficult time. Jordan feels all the love.
