The Jordan Neely Fund for Unity

Donation protected
My name is Chrisopher Neely. My nephew, Jordan Neely, was a black man who was brutally murdered at the hands of a white vigilante, who claimed to be defending the people. This vigilante was recently acquitted of all charges essentially getting away with murder. I've always known that our justice system was inequitable but seeing it up close and personal has sparked a fire in me.

I have gotten so much support from my community and organizations such as Black Lives Matter NY, The National Action Network, Warriors in the Garden, and GMACC. They stood side by side with me in protest for justice for my nephew, and I want to give back. This fund will be a safety net for fighters of injustice. It will cover expenses such as bail, travel expenses, food, etc.

I want to also have behavioral health awareness dinners throughout the city consistently. These dinners will help spread awareness on how to recognize when someone is in crisis. They will also teach de-escalation tactics if you choose to get involved. On the day my nephew was murdered, he was having a psychiatric breakdown. I believe that imparting this information could potentially save a life.

My nephew did not deserve to die. His murderer should not be free. The system has failed us again. With this fund, I want to provide aid to those who continue to fight the good fight and impart the importance of mental health education.

Your support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. We are grateful for any donations that come our way!
