Jordan Hummingbird Water Polo Trip
Donation protected
Jordan Hummingbird has made it to college playing her favorite sport - Water Polo. She played high school water polo for the Rockwall Lady Jackets and club water polo with the North Texas Thunder. She will be attending Azusa Pacific University and is the first Texas Water Polo player on the Lady Cougar's roster.
In January, she will be packing up her water polo gear and her heart for a 10 day trip with the Azusa Pacific Water Polo team to Budapest, Hungary. APU Water Polo has partnered with a local church in the area that ministers to a post-communism community that is very distant from Christianity. There will be a dual focus on this trip. The team will be serving the local community in Hungary by partnering with the local church to serve after school programs and local outreach. We will also be competing with club and national level Hungarian water polo teams to prepare for the upcoming NCAA season.
"It is such a privilege for my team to use athletic skills and passion to make a worldwide impact, " says Jordan Hummingbird. "Now is the time for me to gather support beyond my team. While we are excited for this opportunity, we need a team of family, friends and community to help us make this come to life through financial support. Each team member is required to raise $2,600 to cover airfare, food and community supplies we will be taking overseas. Would you join the work we will be doing with the people of Hungary by donating today? A gift of any size will help me reach my goal and is deeply appreciated. If you would like to make your donation Tax Deductable, please contact my dad, Jim Hummingbird for details. Just leave a message on here and he will contact you.
Thank you and God Bless!"
