Jordon Cooper Family Relief Fund
Donation protected
Many cities would count themselves fortunate to have a citizen such as Jordon Cooper. He has seen – and shared – the city from every angle. From working directly with people facing poverty and homelessness, to afflicting the comfortable from his columnist position at the Star-Phoenix, producing and hosting podcasts, maintaining his long-running blog on Saskatoon’s history and architectural contributions, as well as critiquing political and civic affairs, Jordon has made Saskatoon the focus of his work. In his personal life, we know him as a generous, fair, and conscientious person, who gives freely of himself to others in need.
Jordon has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and intends to fight it aggressively. We have set this up as a way for people to leave funds to help defray the loss of a second income and provide respite for Jordon, his wife Wendy, and their two boys for the duration of Jordon's illness. All donations will go directly to them.
This was set up by Janice Braden (@JL_Braden), Jeff Jackson (@YXEguy), and Hilary Nelson (@theotherHilary). If you'd like to help in other ways, or if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us via Twitter.
