Jordyn’s Leukemia Journey

Hello everyone! My name is Lori Salvatore and I’m starting this GoFundMe for Jordyn, Dawn, and Elijah Miller. As many of you know, Jordyn was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia last week. Jordyn had noticeably started losing weight and also developed an uncontrollable cough which she couldn’t shake. On July 17th, Dawn took her to Urgent Care where she was told she needed to go straight to the ER because she was very sick. Off to Buffalo General they went where they did bloodwork and a CAT scan of her chest. Her white blood cell count which is normally supposed to be anywhere from 4,000 to 11,000, was at 108,000. This is when their world was turned upside down. They were told it was leukemia and that Jordyn had a huge mass in her chest because of the leukemia causing 
all the coughing and shortness of breath. They needed to transport her to Roswell ASAP so they could begin immediate aggressive chemotherapy. Jordyn has been there ever since, receiving chemo through a drip and chemo through pills as well. She will stay in Roswell round the clock to battle this cancer for now, with no hopes of going home anytime soon. Yesterday they found out through a spinal tap that the leukemia is now in her spine, and she will also begin the process of searching for a bone marrow donor.
Jordyn’s medical condition has unfortunately caused Dawn and Jordyn to lose work as they fight this awful disease together. This has caused a significant financial hardship, as they’re facing medical bills along with everyday living expenses. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help cover some of these expenses, allowing them to focus on Jordyn’s treatments and recovery without the added stress of financial burdens. Anything you can give will help tremendously! I will be posting updates on Jordyn on here as well as share pictures of her journey. If you can’t donate please consider being a bone marrow donor.
