WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Our goal is to raise $21,000 by Christmas Day for Jhosua Jory & his family who are in dire need of financial support.
Jhosua Jory's stepdad, Jhon Quinones, passed away on the morning of November 9th, and Jory and his family have lost not only a great man but also their only source of family income to put food on their table, a roof over their head and clothes on their back. Jory (and his little sister) hail from Colombia, and his mom is on a student visa while completing her degree in accounting at Houston Community College. We are looking to raise $21,000 to cover monthly expenses for food, rent and other living expenses (7 months x $3000/month) so that Jory can finish out his school and academy season while we find alternate ways for him to stay in Houston in the long-run!
Jory is a great kid who brings a lot of joy and passion wherever he goes. He is a beloved team member on his Houston Dynamo Academy U15 team (tuition free team), as he is always one to bring a smile along with a great sense of humor that breaks the ice in any situation. But do not let the laughter he elicits fool you because once he is on the soccer field, he is an absolute menace as he is a nightmare for opposing teams to deal with. His speed, aggression and close control allow him to attack defenders and wreak havoc on an opposing team's defense as he did here in the game against Colorado Rapids Academy, a couple hours after he heard the devastating news about his stepdad.
We kindly ask and hope that you consider helping Jory and his family out this holiday season by donating through this page. It would mean a tremendous amount to him and his family as they look to navigate through life without Jhon, and the most impactful Christmas gift his family could receive.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
