Jose Villegas The Mighty P3 Family
Donation protected
My name is Darrell Livings and Jose Villegas was the first Marine I met at Camp Lejeune, NC on 20 November 1998. He showed me the ropes of being a new Marine to the fleet. We ended up going to Okinawa Japan together from 2001-2002 and stayed in touch via email and linked back up in 2007 as he was in Recruiter School and I was a DI at MCRD San Diego, Ca. In 2012, I checked in to Camp Lejeune and of course, whose there? Jose Villegas! He had recently returned from
Afghanistan and I was preparing to head over to Afghanistan. After deployment, Jose took over our Supply Schoolhouse and I was honored to be the guest speaker for one of his classes.
Early morning on Friday 13 April, I received a text as many other Marines in our community did about Jose and the horrific motorcycle accident he was involved in the prior night. Without thought, I knew I wanted to do something for my MARINE P3 BROTHER!
Jose Villegas served 21 years of faithful service to the USMC and THE MIGHTY P3 FAMILY! Recently retired, he was enjoying life and his family until this tragic event happened. He was a great Marine but even better husband and father. Please keep his family in your prayers during this tough time.
RIP Brother! SEMPER FIDELIS
