Help the Family of Officer Joseph A. Cisneros
Donation protected
On February 1, 2021, the world lost Joseph Anthony Cisneros, ("Tony") 43, unexpectantly due to complications of COVID-19. He was a loving father and devoted husband, son and brother. Tony was a 20 year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department. He leaves behind his wife and two children ages six and thirteen years old; his parents and brother Ben. Sadly, he was also preceded in death by his younger brother Christopher less than two months ago.
To know Tony was to love him. A kind, dependable, giving, gentle soul with a smile that would light up a room. He was a dedicated public servant, protecting and serving the local community for over 20 years as a Police Officer. However, it was his roles as a loving father and husband that were most important to him.
Tony was recently hospitalized for three weeks due to COVID. His symptoms were improving, he was on his way to making a recovery and looking forward to going home to his family when suddenly he went into cardiac arrest and passed away. His wife and children, like so many others, had to hear this heartbreaking news over the phone and not in person. It's one of the hardest things facing families today in similar situations, not being able to say goodbye when everyone has to be separated from their loved ones at the hospital during this awful pandemic.
With the shock of his unexpected passing, his family now has to try and learn a new reality and navigate life without their patriarch leading the way. The stress on his wife has been unbearable and the loss of their father has not fully sunk into the children yet. Although family will be there to help his children get through daily life, they will have considerable expenses. Tony worked hard to support his family and it was always his wish for his son to attend Central Catholic High School in the fall.
Tony's family is grieving right now and trying to deal with his tremendous loss. Although we are unable to relieve Tony's family of all the emotional burdens they are currently facing, we can all come together to help support his family financially during this unthinkable time in their lives. All personal gift donations that are donated to this fund will go directly to an account established by the family to support the educational expenses of Tony's children and help his wife as much as we can.
