Joseph Bates Medical Expenses

On Wednesday, May 20th, Joseph was severely injured in a hit and run accident on Highway 30 in Cedar Hill. He was at the Moto Mart gas station when he came out and realized the vehicle he was driving had been stolen. He ran towards the highway to chase after the people and was hit by the man who stole his car. He is currently in ICU on a ventilator. He has a lot of swelling, bruising, and bleeding on his brain; he has multiple facial fractures, a fractured vertebra in his neck, bruising on his lungs, and a broken tibia in his left leg.  He has been making progress but still has an extremely long road ahead of him. 

Joseph is a hardworking man and a loving father with two beautiful girls and a third baby on the way. He is always willing to help people when they need it and he would give the shirt off his back and never expect a thing in return. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time and loves teaching his daughters how to do new things. 

In addition to an abundance of medical bills, there will be financial strain that the family will endure due to the loss of his income and the time they will be taking off work during his recovery.
