Joseph Gregory Baranowski needs your help

Donation protected
Our brother, Joseph Gregory Baranowski (Joe to some, Bear to others) needs your help. On February 11th he had a stroke (known as a cerebral vascular accident) after years of sadly neglecting his health and diabetes. He is quite lucky a savvy police officer identified his condition and called an ambulance. He spent nine days in the hospital where they stabilized him and determined he would need vascular surgery.

Through the UCSF Stroke Center, he had surgery on March 18th where they successfully unblocked one of his carotid arteries. The effect of the stroke has had minimal impact physically but a significant impact on his cognitive skills. He currently in a skilled nursing facility for occupational therapy. At this stage, he faces a future in skilled nursing and/or assisted living.

He has some health insurance, but the uncovered expenses are mounting—he is in dire straits financially, has limited resources—and we are seeking help to cover some of his expenses. At this stage, it is unlikely he will drive or work again.

Would you be able to help donate to this Go Fund Me campaign? No amount is too small, and every penny will go to cover his medical costs. We realize this is a lot to ask—and if you are not able, please feel free to send along your prayers and healing wishes. We will be sure to pass those along to him.
