My name is Pam, I am Joey's Mother. I got a call that Joey hadn't been seen around for couple of days (which was unusual) and when his landlord went to check on him...they found him deceased on the floor of his home in Longview.
They don't know how or why yet. They have as yet to call me to let me know or to send me paperwork. Turns out he and his ex-wife never divorced, and everything had to be done through her...but she is states away. She recently sent me a POA so that I could take care of him. Unfortunately, I am a low income disabled senior and do not have the $800+ I was quoted for a cremation. I am asking for help so that I can get him out of the morgue freezer and bring him home. Anything helps. Thank You. I tried to put the whole picture of him in....but the software kept cutting it off. He had been out riding that day and was wearing goggles. He was fun and smart and witty and well read. He was an artist with pencil and paper and design. He welded artistic and beautiful things. He made me a beautiful bouquet of metal flowers. He liked to collect things, including Star Trek collectibles from a young age. I don't know anyone who didn't like him. I wish I had the words to describe just how special and brilliant Joe really was. He didn't deserve the end he got. He should have grown old as Uncle Joey. He couldn't have kids of his own- but he has nieces and nephews and friends who adored him.
Every little bit helps me to be able to bring him home.
Thank you. I got some quotes and realized I should ask for just a little more. The service gets a 'cut' and I didn't think it was going to be as expensive as it's turning out to be.
I appreciate you all more than you know. You are all a blessing.
