Joseph Kirk

Joseph Kirk tragically lost his life inside Broward County main jail on his 6th day of detox. His death comes as a complete shock to our family and while we thought he was finally going to get the help he so badly needed his life was cut short. We have no clear answers on what happened. We do know that Joseph is the 4th life lost in this jail facility in the past month. We also know that my brother was arrested on a misdemeanor charge with a small bond and was waiting to go into a rehab program once

he had court. He was left inside a cell unchecked for hours and was said to be having a medical episode but neglected. Joseph leaves behind a beautiful son Benjamin who should be celebrating his 6th birthday on Feb 6 but instead will be mourning the loss of his Daddy alongside many family and friends. Our Mother Valerie is grieving heavily and is completely dependent on ssi as she is chronically ill. We greatly appreciate the love, sympathy, well wishes, and helping hands. All money will be used to help cover, funeral costs, memorial arrangements, lawyer fees and to provide for Little Benjamin.
