Memorial - Funeral expenses for Joseph L. Bauman

Hi my name is Cate Reed and I am raising funds to help Starleeia Bauman cover the funeral expenses for my nephew Joseph L Bauman. (Joey) as it has come as a sudden shock and surprise to his family.

Joey had a challenging life, having lost his father (my brother) when he was just 6 years old, his mom (Starleeia / Starr) raised Joey all alone and faced several challenges bringing him up. Joey was diagnosed with PTSD from early childhood trauma and struggled with mental health issues for majority of his life. He became dependent upon Starr’s care even into adulthood as he struggled just with day to day challenges…

Joey had a big heart and wanted to know that he mattered and that he was loved.. as a little boy he loved climbing trees with my boys and when we last saw him, he longed for love and affection.

Joey passed away this Christmas leaving his mother behind to deal with not only the pain of losing her first born child, but also the expense of it.

Right now this fundraiser is just to help cover the basic funeral / burial costs as I know how expensive they can be (having watched my parents pay for my brother’s funeral)

I will update as I have more information for any memorial services and burial expenses that Starr chooses for Joey.

Right now she is grieving and feeling pretty lost as she is living a parents worst nightmare… my goal is to at least alleviate some of the stress she is dealing with right now
