Joseph Martin Allsup
November 20, 1961 – November 5, 2021
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend Joseph M. Allsup entered into eternal rest on November 5, 2021 at the age of 59. Joseph was born in San Antonio, Texas and built many lasting friendships in his younger years in Somerset, Texas.
After high school, Joseph followed the love of his life, Norma, to Waco, Texas as she attended Baylor University. He was well known for his story telling of those infamous college years. Waco and Baylor held very special places in his heart for the rest of his life. But none other came close to his passion for Texas A&M football. He wouldn’t miss a game and supported them year over year with great pride.
Joseph fought the fight of his life in his battle with pancreatic cancer. He jumped through every hoop on earth available to him to try and beat it. Especially over the last 2 years, Joseph's body grew weary but his faith grew stronger than ever. It was a beautiful experience to witness Joseph repent and to diligently seek after our Heavenly Father. Joseph asked our merciful Jesus to please heal him or to please take him home already. Although we are devastated to lose him, we find all of our comfort in knowing that our beloved Joseph went to be in the kingdom of God and is now in the very presence of the Great Physician with a new eternal heavenly body. We pray he heard the voice of Jesus telling him, "Today you will be with me in paradise." And that his spirit has returned to God who gave it.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Joseph M. Allsup Endowment at Texas A&M University at College Station for his beloved Aggies. We could think of no better way to honor our husband and father's legacy forever than to establish a perpetual endowment fund at Texas A&M College Station in support of the Aggies.
Any memorial donation you would like to offer will be so deeply appreciated. So much love and support and kindness has already been pouring in for Norma and us all, and we are beyond grateful.
It is our honor and privilege to organize this on our husband and father's behalf.
With lots of love and appreciation forever,
Norma, Vanessa, Amanda and Joseph (Randy)
