Joseph Miranda & Jyataveis Williams
Donation protected
On June 26th, around 11:00 A.M., an altercation occurred at a tire shop on Belfort. Joseph had planned a trip to Galveston that morning with his wife and friends. While Joseph was putting air in his tires, his friend Jyataveis (JT) got into an argument that turned physical that unfortunately took both of their lives.
Joseph had a big heart and took JT under his wing. He was just a kid that didn't have a family. Our family helped get him emancipated from CPS custody, a job, apartment, and tried to help guide him in the right direction. JT recognized and mirrored Joseph's love and displayed that by playing with our kids in the family. He loved to cook, watch anime, play video games, ride skateboards, clean, practice taekwondo, and also tried learning Spanish. While playful and full of life, he was accepting of everyone and could easily get along with everyone.
To us, Joseph was our world. But to him, everyone he loved was his world. That's the kind of person we all knew and loved. He was incarcerated for six years for mistakes he made when he was younger. After his release, he made a commitment to never go back and turn his life around. With his newfound freedom, he was full of happiness doing any small thing. Despite not having much at all, he'd give away his last anything, even if it meant he was left with nothing. He was considerate and would share evenly with whoever; everyone got what he got and no one was forgotten. Nothing was sugar-co and he was very honest with his thoughts on what he believed was right. He was the most loving father, an amazing husband, loyal friend, and made sure he was the protector of our family. Even on his bad days, he would always find a way to make you feel better about yourself more than himself. He rubbed off on everyone and was always fun to be around.
We are burying a husband, father, son, and also a family friend. Joseph risked his life to stop the fight in the tire shop. We're asking for help because this is just not only one funeral, we are burying two of our loved ones. No donation is too small and anything you donate will help us put our loved ones to rest.
