Hi my name is Chloe and I am setting up a gofundme to help with the costs of my Grandads funeral. As some people may be aware my Grandad has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer. He has Stage 4 metastatic Lung Cancer, which means the lung cancer has spread to his lymph nodes, bones, and liver. His liver now being the most affected. Specialists have said it will be lucky if he makes it between the 6-9 month mark. With this devastation we have come to find out unfortunately my grandad has never had life insurance. My nan who has just retired has informed me that my grandad has agreed on an unattended non-costly, direct funeral because he is worried about the leaving my Nan out of pocket. My Nan and Grandad have been married since they were 18. They are now in their late 60's. From a young age my brothers and I was placed into their care. I can't let the man that raised us leave out the back door without the celebration he truly deserves. This man has given me and my brothers everything our entire lives. So here is my chance to give back and thank him one last time.

Looking at funeral costs for a basic funeral it is £3500 with a service cost of £1700. All receipts will be provided when the unfortunate time comes
