Hi. I am Ruthann, Joes lucky wife. I am starting this fundraiser to help us pay for my best friends end of live arrangements as we have discussed. As all of you know, Joe is one of those "gentle giants" and would help anyone if there was a way he could and never ask for anything in return, but maybe a hug or hand shake.

Joe has had one Hell of a time with medical issues in his life and some call him the "bionic man" because of all the parts that have either been taken out or put into his body. He has always been a fighter and still is, although this last cancer has succeeded to win. Joe has been saved and is not afraid of passing from this world knowing where he is going, but in this last selfish act he wants to not leave me the burden of these expenses and prepare for this together as we have done so many times in our wonderful life together. I am not saying I am prepared to lose my husband, best friend and drinking buddy, but I know he will be looking over us from up there.

There will be no viewing after he passes and he wants to be cremated with his remains kept with me and in a few sentimental places in our hearts. We ask for no flowers to be sent just to watch them die slowly. Instead we are asking for any dollar amount towards this final phase in his life on this Earth. If you cannot afford any, we do understand and will not be disappointed or upset knowing anyone who knows him would help if they could, but to remember him as Joe on a Friday afternoon leaving work with a wind blower saying weeeee out the window of our car or not liking going to work on Mondays as we often did, lol.
