Joseph Torre Sgambelluri

On Wednesday, April 3rd, our dad and grandpa, Joseph Sgambelluri, went to be with the Lord. He battled 3 different types of cancers and fought until his very last breath. He was surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was a loving man with a tender heart and an energetic spirit. He lit up a room everywhere he went and wanted to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. He cracked jokes all the time and welcomed everyone in his home without any judgment.

Doctors deemed him a miracle as they had never witnessed a patient with 3 different types of cancers last as long as he did. Dad/grandpa fully trusted and believed in the Lord and let Him have his way by allowing my dad’s circumstances be a testimony to others, a walking miracle. Within the last month, his cancers quickly became aggressive and treatment was no longer working. We didn’t anticipate he’d be in the presence of the Lord so soon. We are grateful that he is no longer suffering and he is at peace.
