A beautiful soul was taken away from our family on March 30th. A mother, sister, daughter. Josephine, or some knew her as Chepita, was first a mother before anything. She had her faults, but she always made sure to put her two daughters Alina and Anila before herself. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do to make her two girls happy. With Easter around the corner, she excitedly put two baskets together for the girls, even when one kid is an adult, but unfortunately did not make it to see them open it. Point being that Josephine had a lot of love in her heart and wanted to share that with her daughters. If money was low, she still always found a way to provide for her daughter’s needs. Her health began as a serious concern when bloodwork came back abnormal last September. Everything pointed to an incurable blood cancer, which scared her and the family. Josephine took this as a chance to change her life around. She began changing her lifestyle and losing weight. Just this month she got bloodwork that seemed to show improvement in her blood, had no symptoms, and was feeling great. Together, we were all static that things were turning around and that she was going to be healthy for Alina’s and Anila’s graduations next year. Then by surprise, something else caused her to end up in the hospital, and within the day, she left us. Now she has left her two girls alongside her sister Natalie and father Javier. And as much as she was strong, life takes without warning. Life gave her a challenge that she could not fight.

As we mourn, we kindly ask for any help, even words of sympathy. Life is not fair for taking her, but God gained a beautiful angel. May she rest in peace and meet her mom Lucy in heaven.

Love you mom, sister, and daughter
