Josephine Mangum during her cancer treatments

Hi, My name is Christine, one of Josephine's children. Our mother has become extremely ill and our sister from Ireland will be here soon to be with the family. Josephine is supposed to be starting chemo and radiation treatment for her stage 3 throat and lung cancer but due to her immigration status she is unable to begin her treatment. Years ago when she came to America with my brother and had me they had to make the decision to put her paperwork on hold or let their children go homeless. So they choose to care for us. Now it's causing problems, we have already hired a immigration lawyer and started the process of fixing her immigration status but until it is fixed she will not be allowed to receive her SSDI or health insurance which we have been told she does qualify for. We've already had 1 specialist refuse payment from us directly for an appointment but we're not giving up. Any donations will be going either towards any additional payment for the lawyer, food for a proper healthy diet, and to help pay for any bills either medical or housing for Josephine.
