Bringing Home "Baby O"

We are Joseph and Kristi Owens from Gadsden, Alabama and we would love to share with you the story of our journey to bringing home "Baby O". A couple years into our marriage, we decided that it was time to expand our family. Little did we know the struggle that this would be. After 4 years of dealing with infertility, we began to understand that it was both our desire and God's intent for us to adopt. After much prayer and discussion, we began our journey of adoption. It has not been an easy journey but we believe that once we have our precious little one (also known as Baby O) all of the heartaches and struggles with all make sense. Here is where we currently are in the story:
We have been in contact with a girl in Colorado that is as sweet as she can possibly be. She is pregnant and after months of discussions with her, she has decided that wants us to adopt her little girl. Emma Grace (meaning whole and complete by the Grace of God) is due February 4, 2015. We will be traveling to Colorado the end of January and will be at the hospital for delivery of the baby.
We expected that since this was a private adoption, the cost would not be as high as it would via an in state agency. However, Colorado law requires that we hire an agency in that state for the processing. So, after much consideration and pursuassion of our friends and family, we decided to set up this GoFundMe account. It is not easy for us to ask for help but we are at a point where our promise is so close and we need the help. Any little bit that we get will be a huge blessing to us. All of our homestudies are complete. We just have to have enough to pay for the remaining balance with the agency as well as traveling expenses. We are very fortunate that we will be able to stay with family while in Colorado but will have to be there for approximately 3 weeks and the strain of that will be difficult (but oh so worth it).
