Joseph's Challenge - No Limits

Hi I am Joseph Adams. I am 21 years old and I have decided to take on a challenge to run 100k to try to raise £500k for a Disability Sports and Youth Club programme. I am going to try and run 10x10ks in 10 European countries across 5 days. Think Race Across the World meets Hardest Geezer !!! I don't know if I can do it but I am going to try my best. My family are going to run with me (if they can keep up !!) and I am going to finish on 1 September 2024 in the Altrincham 10k race when I hope some of my friends will also join in. Then I am going to celebrate with a beer !!

Hi I am Phil Adams, Joseph's Dad. We came up with Joseph's Challenge "No Limits" because we want to raise money for a disability sports programme but we also want to break down preconceptions about what people with Special Needs can achieve. When Joseph was born he spent three weeks in special care with breathing difficulties and didn't walk until he was nearly three. We were told and read about all the things a person with Down Syndrome couldn't do but with the help of Joseph's three sisters, we decided to have no limits and see what he could do and Joseph has gone on to surprise us ever since.

He is an accomplished sportsman across swimming, tennis, football, cricket and rugby so we figured none of those would make a great challenge !! He hates running, so instead, with Joseph we came up with this challenge because we want to break down boundaries and also raise a lot of money to fund a sports programme across the local area including some of the most economically disadvantaged parts of Manchester.
