Jose's Urgent Need: A Life-Saving Transplant

Hi! My name is Jennifer.

This is my dad, Jose. He is 53 years old.

My dad is my best friend. I'm his only daughter and the one who he would do anything for.

Over the last year or so, he's been dealing with the effects of non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis, or what it is suspected to be.

After many expensive doctor and hospital visits, with little to no answers, our possibly last option is a liver transplant.

With no personal communication about his disability status, and after being unaware of when his job security would end, he was terminated. He received no phone call, nor a termination letter (despite being a loyal and extremely valuable employee for 20+ years), and only weeks after did he get a call about his termination, leaving him without insurance, and the feeling of total dismissal and unimportance.

With that, he has lost his income and is unable to keep many of the things he owes money for. Most importantly, he has lost his ability to provide the way he desires, dejected in his need for help.

He loves to keep busy and is left almost bed-bound by these health issues. With his difficulty breathing, he is also unable to further pursue/feed into his woodworking hobby, which is what gives him life.

Despite the pain he fights daily, he still tries his best to be himself and enjoy his favorite things, but he can only continue to enjoy these things if we can get help to find answers.
