Josh Beavers’ Medical and Recovery Fund

Hello, my name is Andrea and I’m fundraising for my family - Julie, Emma and Josh. On Sunday, June 4th Josh was mowing the yard when he suffered a massive heart attack. When the paramedics arrived at the house, Josh coded twice. Josh was brought to Riverside where they placed stints in his heart, thankfully stabilized him and put him on life support in order to give his heart some time to heal. The medical team have him sedated while his bodies try to recover so we aren’t able to talk to him. We’re just playing a waiting game. The reason I’m asking for financial support is due to Josh being without insurance and needing ongoing medical care. Additionally, Emma just finished her first year of college and my parents are emotional and financial support for her. Being down one income, Josh being without insurance and the uncertainty of his recovery has us pleading for help. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading and please share this for us. UPDATE JUNE 7, 2023 We were just advised by Riverside that Josh has essentially maxed out on the care they can provide him. He’s making slow progress, is responsive when the sedation is turned down but he can’t be kept on the life support machines Riverside has because of the long term risks associated with the machines. Josh’s heart is beating on his own, but it’s not enough to keep him alive without machines. Riverside advised us to transfer him to OSU where they can sustain Josh in hopes of putting a valve in his heart that will allow his heart to pump on its own. So we’ve agreed to have him transferred in hopes of his contributed progress.

Any funds we receive will go toward whatever we need as a family. This could include household bills, gas, food, anything that we need support with financially.
