Josh & Elly's IVF Journey
Donation protected
My name is Abby Emert and I'm writing this with a heart full of love and hope, advocating for people very dear to me—my incredible brother and sister-in-law. Their journey to parenthood has been a testament to strength, resilience, and unwavering love, but it hasn't been without its challenges.
In 2017, Elly faced the daunting battle against stage 4 cancer, enduring months of chemotherapy. Prior to this courageous fight, she made a decision—aware of the potential risk to her fertility—to freeze her eggs, ensuring a glimmer of hope for a family in the future. Even after triumphing over cancer, the harsh reality struck—chemotherapy had rendered her unable to conceive naturally.
Their pursuit of parenthood led them to the world of IVF. Despite initially freezing 14 eggs, the journey has been arduous. Out of those, only two healthy embryos emerged. Despite their unwavering optimism, both attempts at transferring these embryos unfortunately ended in heartbreak.
The resilience they've shown is awe-inspiring. They've taken every setback in stride, refusing to let go of their dream of becoming parents. However, the path ahead is laden with financial hurdles. IVF treatments, especially using donor eggs, come with a steep cost.
That's why I've set up this account for them. Every bit of support matters. Your contribution, no matter the size, will directly help them in their pursuit of starting a family. Your kindness will be the light that propels them through this challenging time.
Their unwavering hope, supported by an incredible bond and the love they share, deserves to be met with a chance to embrace parenthood. Your generosity can be the turning point in their journey.
Your thoughts, prayers, and any financial assistance you can offer will be deeply appreciated. Let's rally together and be a part of their beautiful journey toward becoming parents. Thank you for considering and being a part of their story.
