Hi friends and family!
It's me again Josh/Joshua/Miguel.
In December of last year, as I've posted before, I was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (Blood Cancer) and this made a significant impact on me and my family physically, emotionally, and financially. The treatment process was difficult, my blood works was going up and down, days that I would feel so weak, and days that I didn't feel weak, but my body was about to break. I had my induction (Initial) chemotherapy last December and had 2 consolidation chemotherapies last February and March. My consolidation chemotherapy consists of 4 sessions and 2 was already done, however, I need 2 more to complete my consolidation chemotherapy. I'm not gonna lie, my treatment is not cheap, I am thankful for my relatives who helped us cover these expenses, even our house bills and everything. Right now, I'm currently out of the office since I am not allowed to go to crowded places which means I don't generate any income of some sort. This is hard for me and I had to think of this for days but I am knocking at your doors again for help. We are struggling financially and I am so grateful that my brother is taking care of most of the expenses at home and of course, my expenses. We try to minimize our expenses to the very least that we can, but it is really hard to take care of. I am asking you guys for help. Regardless of the amount, it is a huge help. I want to update you guys that I am doing very well, my doctor told me that my lab results are doing great and we found out last February that I didn't have any cancer cells left and we just need to continue the chemotherapy. Doing the chemotherapy kills the cancer cells and to be honest, A Bone Marrow Transplant is needed to increase the chances of not having a relapse (Cancer cells coming back). We were told that we needed to prepare at least 2.5 million pesos for the procedure. Chemotherapy kills the cancer cells but there is a higher chance of relapse if I don't get the Bone Marrow Transplant. Right now, all I'm worried about is completing the Consolidation Chemotherapy which is 2 more sessions. I am a lot better, and I want to thank all of you for the prayers and financial help that I received. Right now, I'm at a place where I need help and all help whether it is financially, emotionally, or through prayers, it all helps. You guys don't know how much I appreciate all of you, again thank you, everyone.
