Joshua "Disneyland Panda" Obra's Memorial Fund

Dear friends,
On July 06, 2020, our dear friend Josh, known to the Disney community as "Disneyland Panda" passed away from complications due to COVID-19 at the age of 29. He contracted the virus while working as a registered nurse at a skilled nursing facility alongside his only sibling Jasmine, a nursing student. They both selflessly took care of others even if it means putting their own lives at risk. Jasmine recovered from her symptoms, however, Josh needed to be hospitalized and was put on a ventilator until he couldn't fight any longer and was called upon by God. We know he is now walking with Walt in paradise.
Everyone who knew or met Josh would agree that he was a very humble, down-to-earth person. His compassion and care for others was innate - it is no wonder that the profession of nursing became his calling; he was willing to put someone else's well-being first before his own. He was a loving son and a big brother who put incredible value in making memories with his family whether it meant taking them to see a Disney event or by traveling the world.
His love for Disney and passion in photography inspired many others and brought so much joy to those who needed a dose of magic in their lives. We know first hand how much work and dedication Josh put in making that happen and he wouldn't have it any other way. He truly loved sharing the magic of Disneyland to others, especially to those who live far away or could not visit as they please.
Josh was like a family to us and we love him so much. I know that many individuals he met in the Disney community will say the same for them because Josh was truly so easy to love and get along with. He valued every friendship he made and impacted others with his genuine kindness and compassionate heart. Our Disney adventures will never be the same without him but his gentle spirit will forever live within our hearts.
We, as dear friends of Josh, and the rest of our core Disney group would like to support Josh's family by reaching out to the community to help raise funds to help offset the expenses incurred from Josh's hospital bills and funeral costs. We know how difficult these times can be and we are very thankful for any support you may be able to provide Josh's family during this unexpected loss.
All funds raised will go directly to the Obra Family. May Tita Cynthia (Josh's Mom), Tito Lando (Josh's Dad) and Jasmine find all the faith, courage and strength they need to overcome this devastating loss.
We love you, Josh. Although your time here on Earth was cut short, the impact you made on us and many others lives will live on forever.
May You Rest In Peace. #OurPandaForever
