Josh Strong Fund
Donation protected
Many of you have walked this difficult journey with my sister and her family. Words cannot express how grateful they are for all of your support and prayers that have been offered up for their family. I am here to tell you that they worked! As you know, Josh was hospitalized since July 22, 2021. He was put on a ventilator on August 6th, and within hours placed on the ECMO machine. The ECMO machine is similar to the heart-lung by-pass machine used in open-heart surgery. It pumps and oxygenates a patient's blood outside the body, allowing the heart and lungs to rest.
Josh has been battling this terrible and debilitating virus for over 8 months and is finally coming home on Feb 4th, 2022. Josh will need to continue to go to outpatient therapy for at least the next 8-12 weeks and hopefully will be able to return to work slowly in the following months. The purpose of this fund is to help reduce the financial burden that Emily and Josh have suffered from Josh being in the hospital for almost 200 days and not being able to work or earn income. Once this journey is finally over, Josh will have been out of work for nearly a year, and there is still no exact time when he will be able to return to work on a full-time basis.
This necessary Fund will help with health, wellness and living expenses for the Welch Family. We are so excited for him to come home and continue to heal both physically and financially with his family. If you could find it within your generous heart to donate whatever you can, we would be extremely grateful. All size donations are important- every little bit counts. God Bless!
