police report:

The search for a missing man in the Owen Sound area has come to a tragic end.

Grey Bruce OPP say 27 year old Joshua Thompson, who had been missing since August 19th has been located deceased.

Police say on August 19th, OPP responded to a report that Thompson had not returned to his Owen Sound home after leaving in a white mini-van that morning.

The vehicle was later located at the West Rocks Management Area in the Township of Georgian Bluffs, and an extensive search using an OPP Helicopter and canine unit was conducted.

At approximately 11:00 a.m., on August 22nd, police found Thompson deceased at the West Rocks Management Area.

Police say his death has been deemed non-suspicious.
