Rendina Family Memorial Fund
Donation protected
My fiancé, Jordan, lost his brother Joshua Rendina this past weekend on Saturday 9/26/2020. Josh was 34 years old and the happiest person I knew. He was loving, kind, positive, a true goof ball whenever I was with him. He always made Tony (Dad) and Maria (Mom) laugh whenever we were together, cracking jokes and making the room filled with light. Tony and Maria talked to Josh every evening to bring more positivity into their life after Maria just got diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease this year. He was part of their support system.
Josh started a new job at the beginning of the year working for a plumbing company, he was doing great. Jordan called Josh every day to make sure he was on the right path and focused to succeed. Their bond grew over the last year especially after their older brother Jacob passed away in April. Last weekend Josh was sipping strawberry margaritas with us in Fort Lauderdale celebrating our recent engagement. I was so excited to call him my brother in law. Who knew that would be the last drink I had with him, the last drink that we had as a family.
Josh’s unexpected death is devastating to the family especially after losing their other son Jacob Rendina 5 months ago in April from Crohns disease. I cannot imagine the pain and devastation Jordan and his parents are going through not only losing one son but two sons, five months apart from each other. We are all at a loss of words and are angry, guilty, sad, shocked, words cannot even describe the emotions that this family is going through right now. The next months seem unbearable. Today, 9/28, is national Sons day; for Maria and Tony not to be able to tell Jacob and Josh how proud and how much they love them is nauseating.
The family was not prepared to say goodbye to their first son Jacob in April and now they must say goodbye to their second. During this time we ask for any donation to help fund for the loss of Joshua and help pay the financial burden that is left behind from their two sons this year. Honestly, anything will help at this point, even forwarding this to friends and family to read the story and pray for them. They need support from all of their friends, family, and the community that surrounds them. They need to believe in hope again.
10/14/2020 - Thank you to all who have donated to help out the Rendina family during this time. The family is grateful for all of the prayers, thoughts, and donations.
