This GoFundMe is set up for all funds to go directly towards Joshua, who is a miracle, get a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Joshua, who has an ABI (acquired brain injury) from drowning when he was 8 years old while his life vest got stuck on a down tree while kayaking in the river with his family. Joshua is now 12 & growing leaps & bounds. The vehicle Joshua currently has does not even fit his wheelchair. He hasn’t used his wheelchair in over a year only a stroller that is becoming too small for him since he’s getting taller. While growing taller, Joshua is also getting heavier & harder to maneuver in & out. A vehicle that is wheelchair accessible would make it easier on Joshua & those who transport him. Joshua travels thousands of miles each month for therapies to help regain function & reliable transportation is a vital piece of the recovery puzzle for him. New wheelchair vehicles can cost in excess of $75,000 we are looking at purchasing a used vehicle in the range of $40,000-$50,000. We are working on grants for a portion as well as personal funds.
