My name is Debra. I have been a lucky surrogate Aunt to my darling Joshua. I will be repeating myself here but i'm so proud of Joshua to be able to donate his organs and save three lives yesterday
Three lives of young people that may not have lived if not for the gifts Joshua absolutely wanted to provide.
This young man was ill for many years, waiting for a liver transplant that never came. Joshua was in chronic pain and at a time he could not take much more someone offered him something they told him would help. A short time later josh began to exhibit raving behavior and was taken to the ER. When tested they found amphetamine, FENTAYL, and another opiate in his system. Josh did not take anything but prescribed medications but in a week moment he took something promised to help.
We all prayed for him to wake up just for him to open his eyes. When an MRI was performed, they found he had an Anoxic,or irreversible brain damage and would never wake up. Josh's mother agreed to donate his heart. His kidneys were viable too. Yesterday he saved three lives.
Josh's mother Fran was not able to work for years as she became josh's caregiver. As a single mother losing her only son is devastating enough but now to not have the money to cremate him and have his ashes returned to her is another loss of its own.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated even $5. His unfortunate loss just saved three other young lives. We can comfort his mother by helping with the cremation and funeral expenses.
Thank you and God bless.
