Joshua Morven’s Lung Transplant
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kaeleen and I’m fundraising for Josh Morven, the son of my dear friend Carol Roberts. Josh is a young man of impeccable character and integrity. He’s incredibly hard working and many people will recognize him from the places he’s worked around town - Tim Horton’s, baggage handling at the airport, and driving for Gat Leedm Logistics. Josh is polite and helpful and has the sweetest smile.
Three years ago Josh diagnosed with Scleroderma, a debilitating progressive autoimmune disease. This disease adversely affected his lungs and doctors recommended a lung transplant. In August, Josh was put on the list for a lifesaving double lung transplant. Miracle of miracles, a donor was found just 39 days later!
Although the transplant procedure itself is covered through BC Medical, there are numerous associated costs. Josh had to relocate to Vancouver from his hometown of Prince Rupert in order to be closer to Vancouver General Hospital where the procedure is to be be performed. Josh has always been a hard worker but now his health has to be his priority. He has many months of recovery ahead of him.
Donations to help cover Josh’s living expenses and transportation costs for family members would be received with gratitude and appreciation. Every little bit helps; no contribution is considered too small. Please help this wonderful young man get his life back!
