Josh Shevitz’s fight with Sinonasal Adenocarcinoma

Hello! This is Amber & Jake (Josh’s sister and brother). We are starting this fundraiser to help our big brother Josh (who just turned 42 on 1/5), his wife Erica, and their 2 children, Grace (7) & Gage (3), get through a difficult time.

Josh is an AMAZING husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and soooo much more. He is funny, helpful, kind, an all around great guy! He is one of the most caring guys out there, who would do anything for anyone, if he was able to. Seeing him go through something as hard as this is crushing us all.

On Monday, January 22nd, an MRI was done @ Josh’s local hospital where they found a tumor starting in his sinuses and continuing up into his skull. Since then he has been transferred to AGH in Pittsburgh, where they began running tests right away. The doctors determined a biopsy would be needed for further diagnosis. He was released from the hospital on February 1st, where he had been for over 1.5 weeks…On Friday, February 9th, results from the biopsy came back, diagnosing Josh with Sinonasal Adenocarcinoma, which starts in the sinuses & is aggressive. He will begin Chemo ASAP in hopes of shrinking the tumor enough to safely preform surgery, and then possible radiation.

We’re asking from the bottom of our hearts, to any of you reading this, if you’re able, please consider donating any amount to help them start this long journey to get Josh on the road to being cancer-free. Please note that all funds received will go directly to Josh and Erica, to help them cover the costs of gas, food, bills, and the unknown for what’s to come.
