UPDATE:

The 16yo charged with horrifically shooting Josiah in the face and leaving him for dead has been found in Alabama and waiting to be extradited to Ohio. His name is Kristaun Self. Alex Perez who has been charged with setting fire to Josiah in his car under the skyway bridge, has also been arrested and is currently in custody. Josiahs mother,, has been unable to return to work at this point, however she is trying her hardest to be a healthy functioning parent to her remaining 2 children. The details of this Murder that have come to light are just so hard to wrap our heads around, so sensless and so inhumane, the grieving process has fallen behind processing the events that took place November 9th. There is a long process of court dates where we pray the 16yo WILL be tried and punished as an adult …..and Alex Perez will get the maximum and may they both serve as much time

humanly possible for what they have done to our family! We thank you all for your ongoing support and compassion during this awful time! ❤️

Josiah Our Josiah passed away this pass week, horrifically, unfairly …. unexpectedly. He was an amazing soul, a son, a brother, a nephew a grandson…a best friend …I bawl as I write this, as you never expect something so awful, something you see in movies ..to happen to your own family.

He was taken from this world in a such a way his mom cannot say a final goodbye.

I am writing this in behalf of my sister who cannot function right now. She obviously was not prepared financially or mentally have to take on such responsibilities as a memorial service/funeral and has also taken a leave from work.

We want to give Josiah the beautiful service he deserves, and allow his mom some time to come to terms with this tragedy. Any funds obtained will go towards making this happen.

We do not have a set date due to the body being so badly burned, we are waiting for a thorough autopsy to be completed.

We are hoping to have a celebration of his life planned for this weekend and will keep everyone updated.
