Josiah Hoerter's Fund

Just before Patrick and Destiny Hoerter finalized the adoption of their precious little boy, Josiah, they discovered he had MECP2 duplication syndrome.  In love, they continued with the adoption, knowing they were facing a difficult journey ahead. Whatever Josiah learned, he was expected to lose as time went on. He would be completely dependent on the care and love of his parents for the rest of his life (read more about the initial diagnosis and description of MECP2 on Destiny's post:

 ).
The doctors told them that Josiah's life expectancy would be about 25 years. Their world was turned upside down when they were told that Josiah was going to die due to complications, at just over 2 1/2 years old. The Hoerters were faced with the devastating decision of "how" this would happen. The options they were given are something no parent should ever have to face (read about it here:

)

Josiah Patrick Hoerter passed away at 8:04am on Saturday, February 7th in his mommy's arms.

We want to bless the Hoerters and support them through this difficult time. Please consider donating to their family to help them get their lives back on track and also keep them in prayer.

Share this page with everyone you know and let's show the Hoerters that we support them and their faithfulness to God's call on their lives to care for Josiah!
