Josiah's Medical Bills after Accident

Hello everyone,

 

Josiah was in a very severe car accident where he was seriously injured Tuesday January 11th while he was on his way home from work. His dad, Randy, was at the scene before the ambulance arrived and watched as they took him out of his truck. He was life flighted to the Level-1 Trauma Center at University Hospital in Colombia, Missouri. He came out of surgery early Wednesday morning and is currently in ICU. The information we have so far is his spleen was removed in surgery but he still has internal bleeding so they left him "open" for monitoring. He has a collapsed lung, which he is on a ventilator for. His pelvis is broken in three places which require further surgery when he is able. He lost a lot of blood and his T-cell count levels are very low. He's on medication to keep his blood pressure up. No one has been able to talk to him or see him yet.

 

The family is trying to handle everything as best they can right now but there is a long road ahead. Josiah has a lot to go through still and then recovery will be a lengthy difficult process. The family is asking for any help towards the medical bills. Josiah will not be able to work for a very very long time and he is the only source of income they have. Him and his girls need all the support they can get in order to survive. We will continue to update as we receive more information.

 

A lot is still unknown. What is known is that the amount of financial stress this will cause is more than any family could imagine. Josiah just moved his family out to Missouri from California a year ago to try and create a better life. Whatever anyone can contribute to try and make this unfortunate event less of a burden on them is appreciated beyond words. Thank you. <3
