Imagine being single with no responsibilities, and blessed enough financially to help others. One day you wake up without a job, without any savings, creditors harassing you, notices threatening to shut off your utilities, mortgage past due, and a new baby, all while you're forced to decide whether to get gas, buy groceries, or put money towards a bill. That's our current situation.

As an educated Navy veteran (AA, AS, BS, & MS), an ex-federal officer, and a new mother, my goal is to remain a stay-at-home mother so that I can continue to home school my son; I want my books to be part of his library arsenal.

I also would love to continue operating the very small non-profit organization that I founded in 2012, to assist needy individuals throughout California; Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.), which has been mostly operated out of my own pocket. We provide hygiene items, reading materials, water, seasonal items (gloves, scarves, blankets, sunscreen, shades, etc.) and packaged snacks to the homeless. We prepare care packages for deployed veterans. And, we produce a monthly newsletter. We provide four needy families with food baskets during the holidays, including gifts for Christmas.

With your help, I can illustrate and publish my two inspirational/educational children's books, and start an e-commerce store with a niche for all things baby and healthy, which in turn, will get my non-profit organization back into full action. My goal is set at $6500, but ANY amount is helpful.
