Josie is the middle daughter of John & Mandy Herbert. John is the lone financial provider for his family of five. Along with five year old Josie, John & Mandy have two other daughters, ages two and seven. Mandy homeschools the girls.
Josie is under the medical care of doctors at A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital in Wilmington, DE. In order to provide Josie with the life-saving care she needs, the Herbert's must frequently travel the two-plus hour trip from their home to the hospital in Wilmington, DE. For the next 28 weeks, Josie and family will make this trek so she can receive chemotherapy, radiation treatment and undergo surgery.
The Herbert's are a Christian family. John noted on his Facebook page, "We are putting this all in God's hands for HIS healing." I ask that you consider putting this in your hands too. Help the Herbert's focus their attention on their family, and not on their finances.
Though John has spent many years serving the community as a police officer, he has only been with his current police department for less than two years. He has a limited amount of paid leave available to him.
The family will continue to incur medical, travel, food and lodging expenses for the foreseeable future. Your donation will help the Herbert family with these expenses and alleviate their financial worries. All of their focus should be on Josie. Please be a part of making that possible for this wonderful family.
